A friend of mine, his partner, and their cat are being evicted from their house in Bowling Green KY and need to find a new place by December ~20th. If anyone has room for them, particularly near enogh (KY or TN) so my friend might be able to keep his job, please let me know so I can pass information along.

see i'm glad i've found mastodon, land of the furries and furry-adjacent, so i can say this and everyone will get what i mean:
as a society we need to recognize that head scritches tap into a deep and powerful source of happy that i personally theorize is leftover from "monkey brain say social grooming good, ook", but basically, we should normalize scritching someone's scalp/playing with their hair/etc. as a good casual loving touch like snuggling

Seattle Area: Do you need a very cheap (manual transmission) car in good condition? 
It's a 1995 Honda Accord DX, 5 speed manual. In amazing condition for 200,000 miles, just had its timing belt replaced.
This car has been worked hard but very lovingly cared for.
Its biggest issue: it was rear-ended and the trunk doesn't close properly (but doesn't seem to leak). Second worst: the windows squeak when you roll them down.
Clean title, has a solid 100k miles left in it.
Asking ~$800.

#PersephoneDays is a term coined by farmer Eliot Coleman, and it refers to days where you have fewer than 10 hours of daylight. Nearly all plants stop growing during this colder-darker time period.
Looking that up for #Seattle I just discovered our last day with 10 hours of daylight was today, Oct 31, 2019, and we won't get back to 10 hours of daylight until Feb 10, 2020.
Time to put the garden to bed.
This was not the proper year, and the Game shall not be played.
The gate stands closed.
But next year.... ah, next year the Full Moon falls upon Halloween night.
