You'll probably find more diversity even among Indigenous cultures of North America in parts of it where they started pulling together towards each other more as a result of close cultural contact across similarly small stretches of land, as in say, the Great Plains.

@kd@yiff.life Hot take: if anything the US is almost uniquely *homogenous* compared to the rest of the world, considering that even just about any European country, a part of the world where cultural imperialism has been a big thing both externally and internally, will display *at least* as much diversity internally.

And on a worldwide level? That's about the minimum as far as non-colonial cultures go.
