I incurred no burden beyond filling out the standard patient paperwork that you have to fill at a new doctor's office. Having a choice of provider for any need and no referral requirement really made it easy to seek treatment for anything.

Having said that, I have not consulted anyone for FFS. I was given HRT by my GP for a long time before she referred me to an endo but I didn't need the referral paperwork because of the PPO.

I miss having a PPO.

We went to Nerd Nite this evening and I learned about experiments involving frogs having sex while wearing pants.

Yup.

Should I go to Nerd Nite? I just spent 90 minutes in my vehicle because of incredibly bad traffic

I loved having a PPO

There was no hassle of paperwork.

I'm in Texas. No idea what California experiences might be like for a PPO but I've certainly heard plenty of troubling things about experiences with Kaiser

Same for me.

But that's why it's okay to contact them by other means. Any contact, even just to say hi, is good.

Sometimes my friends and I just text each other to say I love you. It feels so good!
