--Humans created their conceptions, ideas, depictions of gods.
--These gods represent real things in the universe (abstract concepts, weather patterns, etc.)
--There's real influence in human behavior in communing with these beings, even if it's just an aspect of one's own personality to talk to.
In this sense, you can nourish what ideas you want power to IMO.

@Shotagonist@mastodon.social Mmm. Most religions do involve worship, but you imply that's necessary it feels. I don't think religion requires worship. I do worship, but it's more I worship the beings in my life I most enjoy -- and still feel at equal with them in a way.
I do rituals as a way to focus my will and thinking more than anything.
If you'd like to discuss more, I don't mind giving my insights, tho.
My religion is Eternal Student.
Agnostic implies that I'm just unsure & leave it at that. Atheist implies that I'm sure & leave it at that. Any religious affiliation implies that I do not follow other religious values.
Eternal Student implies that I always have something more to learn, and I will never truly understand everything, for then I will be omniscient, and then I will crave being mortal again

I'm practicing on saying nice things a lot more in public chats of games I'm in, and just dismissing assholes who say racist shit, muting them where it's necessary.
