I think the apartment where I used to live used a shared gas bill split across the entire building, since we were not living in the apartment for two months and the heat was off... the bill remained the same. No pilots needed to be maintained since it used an electric starter.

The sun shines into the windows not even directly on me and my eyes are burning from the light. Luckily I have prescription sunglasses for whenever I need to go outside when it is not cloudy or night time! Otherwise without them I might be walking around completely blinded by daylight. I do get looks though because I have big lens sunglasses to block all the light.
