@tfproxy this is the new edition of Arkham Horror which just came out, so it's my first time playing that!
@abe_e_seedy Oh... I thought it was Eldritch Horror, not Arkham Horror (why, oh why, are they so similarly named?!).
@abe_e_seedy I only ever played the 1st edition of Arkham a few times. Found it very clunky w/ 2 people.

@tfproxy it was good! Definitely way less clunky. It plays a lot like Eldritch Horror but a little more refined, and it seems like they've weighted it so you spend less time trying to do things but failing
@abe_e_seedy how many people were playing? I only played with 2 players, so I kind of imagined it must just be better with more.

@tfproxy we had 5 players, which I think definitely helped - even though there was a lot more going on, we had more skill sets to deal with things.
They've changed how bad things scale though, which seems to work well. Instead of the one bad card per turn of Eldritch Horror, each player draws 2 tokens from a bag, which can be everything from "spawn a monster" to "nothing happens", which seems to get around EH's "never play with an odd number of people" problem

Update - spent most of the game riding around on my motorbike clonking cultists on the head with a wrench.
