I made afghan biscuits. Here is my review:

pros:
- they taste good
- they require few ingredients

neutral:
- extremely sweet, hard to eat very many at once

cons:
- extremely crumbly because the only wet ingredient is butter
- I definitely should have used much less cornflakes than the recipe said (I used slightly less)

Last Christmas
I ate all the food
And the very next day
I didn't feel very good
This year
I'm here to be queer
And eat somewhat less food, now

@fineursine sometimes people do 'I'll draw people who donate stuff if i can' and I find that a generally better approach (although unfortunately I bet it doesn't make enough money)

@fineursine I don't buy emergency comms. Tbh if I have the bandwidth to help someone I just donate. If shit has gone real bad for them the last thing I want is for them to feel like they need to make me some art. Folks usually don't make super good stuff in those circumstances anyway.

@Fuego one of the hosts of a podcast I listen to does grappling w/ a queer grappling group, and seems generally positive about the scene, but lives in NYC. It sucks that folks in areas further afield probably don't have a lot of options to escape that shittyness, but I guess that's true for everything and not just BJJ.

The culture there is exhausting and being the only out queer person in my office *fucking blows* but I'm glad I'm taking the hit if it's helping.

Anyway, thanks for listening to my vent, haha. 💪😑💪

To maintain this positivity, here's some places I feel like I've had success at work:

1) got my team to stop saying the r slur or call bad things 'gay'
2) encouraged other women to not dunk on women all the time even though it's tempting
3) got a nazi fired
4) encouraged folks to be more candid about salaries and labor issues
5) gotten several coworkers to give literally any fucks about trans rights

He thought about how he doesn't actually think that about his daughter and saying that sucked. I was proud of him for getting there; it's not easy to learn to check yourself if you've never been expected to.

Today I had a coworker come up to me apropos of nothing to apologize for using the b word to describe his daughter in a convo we had last week. I hadn't called him out on it, but I've been quietly insistent at work about describing why I don't use that word.

@Fuego therian says it definitely is. He had a JPete stan at his school talking about marxists in the locker room. He told the kid he's a socialist and captain lobster is full of shit and walked away.

I can't wait till we get to the point that enough queer rep in media exists that people don't feel like they need to jump up and down every time a corporation deigns to acknowledge their existence

I usually envision the skin hardening into plates / scales for reptile TF, which is also good, IDK. I'd apologize for the late night horny tweets but

2) I have no illusions that y'all are following me for the sad tweets complaining about work

@angrboda tbh I can't stand skin ripping but the idea of the scales growing in underneath and then painlessly shedding the old skin is at least somewhat horny

I bought a set of reptile skin textures for four bucks which I'm sure I'll get a lot of use out of, haha

and again, the new coloring style is incredibly fast. this was sketch to finished in 2:30, including time for photoshop to crash.
