should i join witches town i don't feel particularly witchy but i am a magic user

@cmdrspacebabe@witches.town an idea that isn't attached to anything

stuff

@Firstaide well, nah, the reason that we got callout posts on tubmlr is because tumblr doesn't have a code of conduct it applies to reasonable things and also there's no real support to engage with there so that sort of L-F moderation style leads to communities having to police themselves which... isn't ideal when the tools to work with are as limited as on tumblr.

stuff

@Firstaide no one is going to do that and if they do i will stand beside u ok

long

@GinnyMcQueen@mastodon.social i've been thinking about this a lot like all year honestly and there's no quick and easy answer. i see parallel behaviors coming from groups who claim to support disenfranchised groups while only paying lip service to real problems that we face on the ground level, as though it's more important to uplift and protect ideas or products rather than people. i don't know where this line of thought leads but every time i follow it it makes me sick. i feel you on this

@GinnyMcQueen@mastodon.social yeah, you can click Edit Profile, then click Data Export, and it will generate a list of who you've got blocked in a text file for download

lewd

i want someone to take glamorous portraits of my butt with my camera

economics, masto politics

@scanlime@mastodon.social @HedgeMage@maly.io to add to that, every major online tool to facilitate help in this matter has been having people force feed low level celebrities through them to generate consumable products and having that be their focus and reputation

in an environment where everyone is a product, only the sellers get to stay on store shelves

economics, masto politics

@scanlime@mastodon.social @HedgeMage@maly.io the question on my mind all year long is: why don't mediocre white men have to have someone connect /their/ dots? are their dots already connected (if so: whom by, and how?), or do we need to look at this differently?

in the end (and beginning, heck) we're left with that work when we have our own invisible, sometimes insurmountable struggles to get through before we can even approach this or any given issue
