Crom here. For personal reasons, both me and Crow are stepping away from awoo.space, and I am personally leaving Mastodon at large.

It has been an incredible journey with all of you and we've been able to raise over $1500 together that went towardsnot only our meditation staff but towards our artist and other community artists thanks to your help.

We have accomplished something truly special and I hope it continues to stay that way for all of you.

No real big technical updates this month - we did upgrade the CSS on the Awoo skin, though it still needs more work! We likely will not touch anything until the 2.3.0 stable release comes out. At least Jani isn't gigantic on the front page any more!

Welcome to March, awoofriends!!!!

First up, an update on our mediator situation. We're happy to say we've brought aboard both @PaulFerence and @Siph (main account is @Siphonay) for mediation! Both of them have been fantastic so far and we're all glad to have them.

We've updated our staff lists everywhere to reflect this. Additionally, we've updated our about/more page to also reflect our terminology to refer to them as mediators instead of moderators.

In technical news, we upgraded over to the glitch.social fork! We're extremely happy to have done this as glitch.social has a great set of developers whose focus is oriented on building tools to make the site both more customizable as well as building on top of Mastodon's privacy and safety tools to make for a better experience for us.

It's been great so far, and I hope I can give back to them some day what they've helped us with!

As for this month, Kyra has been putting a lot of extra effort in to show off Jani piloting a mech! If you thought they were just a social guardian of the land, are you ever in for a surprise!

Because of this, we actively begun searching for new mediators and we have two candidates at the moment we're considering bringing aboard. We're not sure if we want two more or only one more, so look forward to an announcement this month!

Hello awoofriends and family! Thank you for your support over the last two months - it means a lot to us all!

First off, some staff updates:

As of the end of January, Crow is no longer a mediator with the staff. He needs a break from social media writ large, and is doing his best to take care of himself.

We wish you the best, Crow! You've been a fantastic mediator.
