I’m basically considering this an investment in the longevity of my PS2, given originals are becoming increasingly hard to find (we were lucky enough to find this quite cheap on a Yahoo JP Auction - cheap, probably because the audio cables are split where they once joined - nbd!)
the main difference between the Sony cables and the ones you’ll find on eBay now is the way the pins on the A/V port work: tl;dr originals are flexible, current are not - HD Retrovision detail it here in their quest to make their own PlayStation A/V cables http://www.hdretrovision.com/blog/2017/12/17/the-playstation-journey#yui_3_17_2_1_1521656403254_397
I know we’re late on this but I’ve been fighting anxiety and also the urge to hugely overengineer this
I compromised to the point of “send nice emails with our chosen font” and even that was a bigger task than I’d hoped
but we did it and tomorrow we send them
@jaycie always
@Stephen_Stone tbf yes, but many others *already do*
our industry desperately needs a code of ethics with teeth and strong unions and a conscience
IDK it just sucks being disregarded as the unhinged conspiracy theorist and then it coming to light in the media a decade later like its earth shattering new info
if this latest round bothers you why weren’t you bothered when people told you in 2010 that doing that “which Pokémon are you” quiz was giving someone all your data and your friends data with naught to control use but the honour system?
