@kobold digsgusting
@admin @vahnj @noiob hi admins I have friends on pdx.social who I’d love to be able to talk to, @admins claim to have submitted your federation request form (https://pdx.social/@admins/100510123817301731, https://pdx.social/@admins/100510131408297242) but haven’t heard anything back. What gives?

@wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net @Xkeeper nvm flavours are just changes to the js lol and probably why it takes 18 fucking seconds to load
@wxcafe@social.wxcafe.net @Xkeeper I mean it’s also *a bunch* of engineering lol, it might be possible to use glitchsoc’s layout feature to do it in a simple-ish way, though? I haven’t really dug into it much
masto ui grump
@Xkeeper that said it’d still have nobody on it so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
masto ui grump
@Xkeeper it’d take less than 18 seconds to load that’s for fucking sure
masto ui grump
@Xkeeper the temptation to fork glitchsoc, throw out the entire React app, and just make a rails app which is a fucking timeline is *extremely* strong but I don’t actually want to host a mastodon instance
masto ui grump
@Xkeeper yeah, I was going to remove almost all the columns’ dependence on the router/web history stuff, because it doesn’t actually fucking make sense when your app is made of columns; each one needs its own nav context, and honestly the default UI being a tweetdeck clone was shitty to start with
