I have something new to add from just tonight:
Did a heavy research crawl and managed to find an online archive of an obscure feminist zine from 1970, in order to prove the first instance of the 've/ver/vis' pronouns. :-D

I'm still pretty dang proud of my stupid trick involving the Linux-based email servers at my college.
They ran a command-line email program at first. I had a web-design class which gave FTP access on the same servers. I backtracked folders, found one marked 'games', and wrote down all the names.
Turns out, Rogue and Hack and many others were playable from the command line even on the ancient library PCs. :-D
