Surreal
When I was in my Senior year of college, I was in an interesting dorm. The entire campus was up on a hill, in a shallow sort of old volcano bowl. This dorm was close to the top. It got a lot of heavy fog, and there were lots of tall pine trees which caught condensation from it.
This spawned in my head the poetic phrase: "It's only raining under the trees."
Walking to work this morning in sub-freezing weather after a snow, I discovered a new variant: "It's only snowing under the trees."

Should I have spent two hours standing in the kitchen tonight after most of the day in my feet, cooking food after being pretty hungry already, and not being even done until 10 PM? Probably not.
Was it worth it? Yeah, it came out real good.
Spicy mac and cheese with ground beef, bell peppers, green chile, roasted garlic, spices, and lots and lots of sharp white cheddar.
