@Kyresti @Oneironott And even on top of all of that frantic anxiety; what a lot of them fail to realize is that so much of the actual knowledge accrual comes out ‘in the real world’ and through constant self study anyways.
I did a bachelor’s degree myself; I work in tech; and I learned more through home-lab studying and at work than I really ever did in school.

Envy is an insidious little feeling, digging in and twisting deep; even when you know it shouldn’t. It can be a great tool if you employ it right; but... god sometimes it just sucks, meh.

@zetasyanthis The Platinums aren’t really needed for a 2-socket system though; they’re more designed for 4 or 8 sockets.
@zetasyanthis Yeah a quick check on an r740 with a twin Xeon Gold 6240 and 256gb ram is about $13k; with a single drive for the hypervisor.
Moving up to Xeon Platinums bumps the price up -hard- tho, as does adding extra storage.
@zetasyanthis Also makes a pretty big difference between a 6XX/7XX/8XX series too.
@zetasyanthis yeah, if it’s from a VAR they can bump it up a bit. Never really liked VARs for hardware purchases like that myself.
@zetasyanthis I mean, define ‘non-outrageous specs’ if that’s what they’re quoting you? If it’s direct from Dell they won’t differ too much from online pricing.

@Draekos That sounds about like where I was on Fluoxetine. Everything was dampened - my lows weren’t quite as low but my highs were shaved down too and everything just felt all flat and sensationless without any emotional range attached.
I juggled a few more before finally slipping off of SSRIs entirely; been more focusing on mindfulness therapy.
@starkatt qbittorrent is what I use; it’s pretty robust.
