Squeeing about the new Pokémon Trailer

@maloki @mawr *bitebitebite*

Squeeing about the new Pokémon Trailer

@mawr yeah, there's been some Discourse (heh) about the mechanics of it, the lack of training battles, etc. I'm not sure, but on the other hand we have a few months to decide, neh? XD

Squeeing about the new Pokémon Trailer

@mawr .... dammit. DAMMIT. now I want it. >___< I never finished the *last* Pokemon game that I bought a WHOLE NEW CONSOLE SYSTEM FOR.

@guerrillarain I KNOW THAT MADE ME SO ANGRY. I had to take deep breaths and remind myself it was just a show. like "fine, make art installations out of people, but DON'T YOU GO EATING THE ARTWORK you FROTHING PHILISTINES"

@Elizafox every time I see "ACAB" that is the first thing I think of, honestly

teh youtubes, teh star warses, uspol

@Leucrotta I have questions.
1. what are taenoglossids?
2. was this a job or what was the context of this?
3. TAKE ME TO YOUR MOONBASE

@anthracite huh... I'm thinking I should pick that up at some point, it looks/sounds intriguing.

one of the crow fledglings is outside, I can hear it honking while begging for peanuts. eeeee! XD

Piracy was everything from naval militias defending port towns to slavery abolitionists, there was a black samurai in the 1500s known as Yasuke, and Charley Packhurst was a one-eyed, female-assigned-at-birth, male-presenting hardass who famously ran stagecoaches. History books are big fat bricks of whitewash.

spiders

the funny thing is that I can remember having had a dream about almost exactly that, suddenly realizing I was covered in tiny baby spiders and being deeply cuted and concerned and trying hard to brush them off while not hurting them. good to know that's exactly how my conscious mind reacts too!

spiders

@kobold only mildly! like, maybe a dozen or so? XD I think most of them had dispersed already...

spiders

to which my reaction was "d'awwww, lookit the tiny baby spiders!" and then to be as careful as possible about brushing them off and not squishing them. I've probably brought at least a half-dozen of them inside with me, and I may have several still crawling around on me somewhere, but they were SO CUTE AND TINY. XD

also the crow was extremely pleased with the peanubs. ^___^

spiders

a crow came to the porch railing and gave me The Look, so I went outside and refilled the suet feeder and put out peanuts. while I was out there I felt spiderwebs, which didn't seem unusual until I realized that a spider egg clutch had hatched on either the suet or the hummingbird feeder, and there were dozens of tiny spiders all over the porch, about the size of a pinhead, many of them dangling from the suet feeder. I then realized I was mildly covered in tiny baby spiders.

slow cooker rookie troubleshooting (specifically: chicken stew/soup)

@LexYeen @mawr @mmsword /salute correction received and understood! and thank you! :D

slow cooker rookie troubleshooting (specifically: chicken stew/soup)

@mmsword @mawr ah, okay! I'll try adding it later, and the pan-fry option, not at the same time though. XD

slow cooker rookie troubleshooting (specifically: chicken stew/soup)

@mawr @mmsword my current plan is to cook the veggies in the slow cooker, then cook the chicken in the oven, adding the chicken after everything's done. I'd be worried that the chicken wouldn't get done enough if I added it to the slower cooker later--is this a commonly done thing?
