You might know about lionfish. They're also called zebrafish (not to be confused with true zebrafish), firefish, turkeyfish, and butterfly cod, because apparently every fish is a kind of cod.
The lionfish aren't actually a species - they're a genus! They're so diverse that they've got multiple species under the Pterois genus. But they share characteristics: they have banded warning coloration, spiky fins, and venom that's distributed through their spines.
@Metaph@scalie.business I landed Spouse before I became aro. what I have with him now is much more than "romance"--he's my partner, in every sense of the word. our lives are built around each other. he knows about and understands my aro/mostly ace nature better than anyone else.

this hummingbird is *still* sitting in the tree outside my window singing. it's been doing this ALL DAY. hummingbird "singing" sounds like some kind of malfunctioning electronic device, btw--high-pitched random twittering, Morse code on about a billion pixie sticks.

oh SWEET zone scaling! OUTLAND AND WRATH: SCALED 60-80. CATACLYSM AND PANDARIA: SCALED 80-90. sweeeeeeeet! no more slogging through Pandaria, I can skip straight on to Cataclysm content! oh wow this makes me want to level more alts! and the addition of new subraces too! okay that's some good stuff right there. :D
