dreams (cw BABY, HAVING A DAMN BABY, very vague implied death)

in that dream I was in a maternity ward--the dream ~conveniently skipped~ all the horrible being pregnant and giving birth parts, and instead had me being treated kindly by nurses who gave me a "baby" (it was more like a "baby-concept") and I was all "oooh yay baby! so happy!" and then I woke up a little and thought "but I can never have a baby, sad" and then I woke up a little more and thought "BLEEARRRGH DO NOT WANT BABY"

dreams (cw BABY, HAVING A DAMN BABY, very vague implied death)

two dreambits.

first a dream about a thing called "the Veil," a fancy beaded curtain that seemed to block off a large room. if you peer through the curtain you seem to see the room full of things you desire, but if you go through the curtain you never come back. (yes how very HarryPotterish)

then a dream about HAVING A BABY which I *swear* was meant for somebody else because EUGH.

momentary bile, bad language

@kara@occult.camp @Siphonay@octodon.social it's a cheap, easy way to show dominance, so of course there's people who are so desperate for any shred of power or prestige or self-worth that they'll grab at it. what's telling is *how many* people pile on; when there's only one, but there's other people who seem delighted to explain or find out, it's a pretty good community. when there's a dozen or so... it's just a symptom, but it's a very telling one.

okay it are leeps tiem nao. goodnight awrroroooorororororrororrrororororororrororrrororororororor (sorry got stuck) <3 dream well

@rey @Gargron .... fffffyeah it totally is, I don't know why I didn't make that connection before but it is! XD

Turns out that joint was laced with confetti and nutmeg. Street name is Fairy Friend.

three good things (includes food mention)

3. I made Spouse a cup of vanilla chamomile tea and he said it actually helped! (he's been on a new medication and the side effects are becoming hellish; we have an appointment to talk to the dr. and get it changed Thursday)

tfw one of your toots goes semi-viral and you didn't realize it has a typo in it until just now: /FACEPALM

@DialMforMara something about the extremely low temperature, and slight alkalinity of the otherwise ridonkulously pure water IIRC. neat stuff! :D

@noelle actually that article is the only news that has been happening for the last few days. we're stuck in a bizarre Rand Paul time loop...

#Germany: Berlin regional court rules @Facebook use of personal data and its default privacy settings are illegal because of the lack of informed consent reuters.com/article/us-germany

@scoots@mastodon.art thank you, that's genuinely good to hear. :)

three good things (includes food mention)

1. the walk to the store and back was nice; since it wasn't raining I was able to get through a good chunk of the book I'm currently reading.
2. while out I had an indulgence of a Menchie's sundae thing!
3. ummm.... I'll think of something! XD

three good things

re:lrb: that does seem like a good habit to get into. I was originally told it was "three things to be thankful for," but (me being me) it immediately devolved into asking exactly who I'm supposed to be thankful to, and being unsatisfied with "well it's a general spiritual thing." I just... don't work well with that. XD but I can definitely list three good things!

I lost the conversation to which this is germane, but: if a social place is becoming polluted, leaving is just as valid a response as trying to clean it up. If you prefer to try to get rid of negative elements, good for you, but don't shame people for just walking away - that just contributes to the toxicity of the place for them.
