@mawr I am now standing up and putting stuff in my pockets. I WILL DO THIS THING. I will not sit down in the desk chair again until after the thing is done. SO SAY WE ALL. *valiantly ignores shiny things*
@mawr hwaaaaat. /headdesk thank you for the link, I will bookmark that. :|

Car near accident
@vahnj that is--a really wacky autocorrect. o___o also I'm really glad you're okay and seconded on her never driving again, gosh.
also! I saw two (? might have been a third) young hawks in the woods on the way to the rental office. can't figure out what kind of hawks they are for sure; very likely Cooper's, but they didn't have adult plumage and weren't making adult calls, so I couldn't figure out for sure. I spent about 15 minutes staring up into the trees overhead and whistling back at them, trying to get a better view and positive ID. XD

"get out of the tub"
*thus oops
people who fail to be "productive" tend to fall into a few categories:
1. they work, but their work is not viewed as productive, despite being _anything_ but bourgeois
2. they _would_ work if it weren't for an economic environment that is actively hostile to their livelihood
3. they are unable to work due to disability
all three deserve respect and inclusion for what should be obvious reasons. all are "useful" if we can change our cultural context to include them
simple example: marx despised panhandlers, sex workers, and even migrant peoples (yes, he was kinda racist), because he viewed them as "not interested in production" and this not useful to the cause, without realizing that such a definition was created by capitalists, and bears re-examination.
thus why i can't call myself a "marxist"
