@thatdelphox@occult.camp heh, I did some reading about Scorp/Sag cusp (me) and LOLYEP.

@kara@occult.camp @kel@witches.town I'd be very pleased with help! oh... which makes me think, maybe I'll futz around with something in Google Translate, lol

@kara@occult.camp @kel@witches.town I WILL BE JOINING THERE as soon as I can come up with a damn name RRRRGGGGHHH.

@InspectorCaracal@tootplanet.space oooooh, gotcha! I was wondering if there was a massive conflict on the forums or something. XD

me: *burbles at Spouse about caching behavior in crows and squirrels for five minutes*
me: I have shared a science with you! I am pleased!
me: *preens*
Spouse: .... you're weird. and cute.
both: YAAAAAY

Fun fact: you can tell what animals the English nobility of the 11-12th centuries liked to eat because they have different names depending on whether you're talking about the animal (Old English-derived words) or the meat (French-derived words).

For instance, when you're talking about cattle, the animal is a "cow" (OE "cü"), but the meat is "beef" (Old French "buef/boef").

ugh "Fire Tonight," always makes me cry. the civil unrest song, lol

the correct answer to any problem is invariably: dragons yes

jazz is love. instead of diss tracks, jazz musicians write these beautiful pieces dedicated to each other and it's cute as hell culturally imo.

jazz culture is and always has been hacker culture, taking the tools and framework of a domain and building an entirely new world with them without anyone's permission or command

@cassolotl@cybre.space "emotional labor" is very gendered. female-type people are *expected* to be the comforters, the listeners, the emotional fixers, and it's supposed to be the high point of their relationship with a male-type person, that Special Sharing Moment when the male-person "unburdens" himself and the female-person soothes and strokes him. ugh ugh uugggghhhhh

hey is there a bot that just posts pictures of cats and has a huge library? because I would follow that liek whoa

cw abuse, assault, violence

@guerrillarain@witches.town yessssss. I was not spanked/smacked as a child and I grew up just fine, thanks. if I had been I probably would have PTSD now--I had a fucking UNDIAGNOSED SEVERE DEPRESSIVE DISORDER, hitting me would have made it SO MUCH WORSE.

people who hit their kids to make them "behave" are just being lazy bullies, IMO. >:|

@cassolotl@cybre.space I use a mainstream detergent, but it's concentrated so I only drizzle a tiny bit in, but my washing machine sometimes gets colonized by fungus or something and makes clothes come out smelling REALLY FUNKY. when that happens I do a second wash, in white distilled vinegar--about a cup's worth per load. it just destroys all other smells, and the clothes come out smelling like... nothing at all. no vinegar smell, just--nothing. it's AMAZING.
