but then the people who owned the giant pig didn't want it back (yet) for Reasons, and I protested that I didn't have anywhere permanent to keep it and it was disrupting my job, which involved turning a handle regularly for a long time.

I dreamed that I found two birds that I identified as magpies and another creature that I initially identified as a turkey wandering around my yard. the turkey had a sign on it, which I took for a collar and attempted to read. turns out the turkey (now a turkey *vulture*) belonged to some people over on the east coast, so probably the magpies did too. so I rounded them up and put them in a pen, by which time the turkey/vulture was a huge pig, and the magpies were kittens (of course)

OH HEY Y'ALL does anybody (in the Seattle-esque area) know how to sew buttons on coats and is willing to do so, possibly in exchange for HUMAN CASH MONIES or OTHER FORMS OF RECOMPENSE? I can provide the buttons, the coat, entertainment while doing the thing, lunch, and stuff. eeeeeee (<--pre-caffineated brain-squeaking)

@electricplatypus @AdalwinAmillion I got halfway through Crucible of Gold and just couldn't make myself go any farther. it was getting to feel like the author was just constantly punishing Temeraire and Laurence, it felt almost abusive, and I had to stop. I'm thinking of trying again, now that (I think?) the series is concluded, so I can finish it up, but I'm not sure I can... >___<

@Ulfra_Wolfe@witches.town I can provide a couch for the night, but I can't provide a ride, and we're far enough out that the extra distance/hassle to get here and then get to the airport in the morning might make it unfeasible. otoh from here it's a straight shot to the airport on public transportation; walk to Aurora Village, take the E to downtown, get on the light rail the rest of the way. let me know if you think this is workable. :/
