I had a flock of a half-dozen or so crows gathered around my porch when I put out something different for them--leftover chicken nuggets from my lunch, broken up into smaller chunks. it's interesting watching their behavior when I put something new out. the higher-ranking birds sit on the roof nearby and yell until the lower-ranking birds come up and try the new food. the high-rankers won't touch it until the low-rankers prove it's safe!
