it's just a tool. any tool can become a weapon in sufficiently motivated hands. any tool can be dramatically (and sometimes hilariously) misused, sometimes to create interesting or amusing things. it's not inherently bad, or inherently good. it's *just a tool*.
I will use CWs for:
1. things that are triggery for me personally
2. things that are common triggers, insofar as they are known to me
3. things that people ask me to use CWs for
4. really long posts (especially when there's a bunch of posts on the subject)
5. me being socially difficult (snarky/sarcastic/etc)
6. if I damn well feel like it
7. some jokes
I always endeavor to make the point of the CW as plain as possible, because otherwise it's kinda pointless to have one.
aahahahah accurate. in both the negative and positive senses! http://wondermark.com/c1368/ (CW: intelligence/ability slur)
dream
and evidently the scorn/derision/sarcasm in my rant was *so intense* that it actually *blew his circuits* and the crew was able to remove the hostage and jettison the Bad Guy, although everybody had some residual Shame Damage after that, like second-hand radiation burns. XD
dream
among the usual semi-coherent bits, I dreamed an extended sequence where I was aboard a big spaceship that had been attacked, and was having a hostage crisis; a robot/cyborg/bad guy was holding Someone Important hostage. the crew members around me were discussing a mission to extract the hostage, which I was part of, but then derailed somewhat by getting into a verbal confrontation with Bad Guy in which I detailed exactly my opinion of his "little adventure."
volunteeering report: feeder mice and bird handling
aside from that, things were the usual winter dull... no really, I can't think of anything else to write about, just cleaning up assorted animal poops and getting mildly frustrated at co-volunteers not marking the tasks they're taking on the whiteboard like they're supposed to. XD
and now I am home and Nar wants ALL THE ATTENTION. <3
volunteeering report: feeder mice and bird handling
when you see them at that distance, rock pigeons and band-tailed pigeons look *distinctly* different, which was neat to see. also, since I was holding them wrapped up in pillowcases like bird burritos, I wasn't bitten, though the person doing the tube-feeding and medication-giving was pecked and nipped a couple of times. and one of the gulls made a spirited attempt to get at me anyway, which is as usual *good*.
