I have a #machinelearning humor blog at aiweirdness.com where I train #neuralnetworks for comedic effect. It's gotten me thinking about how #AI interacts with our world and #scifi - hopefully I'll be writing more about this in the future!

it is okay to be weak
it is okay to vent about your problems
it is okay to cry
it is okay to admit you don't have the strength
you should be given space to feel these things
you are allowed here to be weak, to have support from the community, and to be shielded from those who would take advantage of your weakness

I don't doubt that your snide remark, your screencapped dunk, your quote tweet, whatever, is totally earnest, from a good place, or whatever you say, like, I don't doubt that.

It's not about the behavior of exactly one actor (like say, you), but the systemic effect of all of these people all doing something at once.

It's weirdly violent, and neither the participants nor the target benefit from it. It's just _designed_ to suck the life out your eyeballs and that's it. So, cool it.
