Plural stuff
@KawaSeadrake @Oneironott That being said, "pure potential" isn't always the most helpful thing for someone starting out. Honestly a lot of the frustrations I've had with that align with troubles I've had with the daunting "wide-open"-ness of modern non-binary discourse.
Plural stuff
@KawaSeadrake @Oneironott I have some chaos magic books I'd be willing to recommend, with caveats.
Plural stuff
@KawaSeadrake Servitors are one thing but definitely not talking about just that. There's a lot of "contact the divinity within, all gods are archetypes" stuff in chaos magic that by turns doesn't connect with me or just really bothers me.
Plural stuff
@Oneironott Ah, see, I think that's an interesting point of compare/contrast, it never even occurred to me to want to prove that the gods, etc, are external; the 'these are manifestations of your psyche' model that comes from e.g. chaos magic didn't dit right with me from day 1.
Plural stuff
@Oneironott Though that circles back 'round to "do I read as plural anyway" ;)
Plural stuff
@Oneironott That just makes things MORE complicated! XD Can I still identify as not-plural if 'external' is a valid source for plural identities? ;)
@Ferrovore @idesofmerch There are, horrifyingly, two versions of the Mac Telegram app, and they've historically not been very good about being clear which is the right one. You might wanna try and download it anew from telegram.org if you haven't done so recently, it looks like the download page is clearer about the 'right version' now.
@ComputerHusband Yeah, we have similar traditions. :) For this one, since it's a hour a day over multiple days (It's an internal title change so it's more "casual") I made do with a fancy-grocery-store trip after yesterday's session for nice snacks, which are right here nearby. ;)
Plural stuff
@literorrery And I feel weird about engaging with tulpamancy TOO because many of those I work with are very firm on being understood as having an external origin.
...And yes, I know how awkward that sounds from both tulpamancy AND plural perspectives. :\
Data point: Even when I come out of a job interview with the recruiter outright saying "You are awesome, you should get this role" ... I still feel exhausted and emotionally wrung out.
In theory, this actually says something helpful about my reactions to things in general, which is that my emotions have little to do with the actual facts behind something, so I can deal with them as emotions rather than stress out about finding out the facts.
In theory. :P
Plural stuff
@starkatt This seriously makes me wonder if anyone is reading me this way, given all the stuff going on in and around my head which could clearly be read as plural-adjacent.
@starkatt Well, if you were up for a brand instead of a tattoo... :) (Kidding!)
@starkatt Yeah I love the silver one but it's one of the priciest things I've ever bought for my body. :)
@starkatt It'd probably make a nice choker if it was strung via the long axis, if that helps with the work jewelry thing!
@starkatt Mine is https://www.shapeways.com/product/TJ9YD8YZL/necker-impossible-cube-pendant
(Those are priced at default Shapeways cost, if you're wondering. Not a profit-making venture for me at least)
@starkatt I can show you where to buy a pendant at least. ;)
