Oh gods now I'm actually sorta considering trying to write (or at least outline) something like this.

Some of my own ideas:

The aforementioned 'furry-sight' as an alternative to aura-reading (I am _pretty sure_ I could make this a coherent exercise)

Astral-body work that doesn't assume the astra maps to the physical and gives advice on phantom wings/tail/ears etc.

Probably some version of a 'find your inner animal' meditation that is HOPEFULLY not horribly appropriative.

Animism. Just, well, if I was writing it, that'd end up in there

Let's say there was a "pagan/magick 101" book focussed on an animal-person perspective, like how there's books on "dragon magic" and "city magic" and "cooking magic"

Also for the curious: the script is a constructed one of my own design, translation not provided here yet (those of you who know it please keep it to yourself too, and um, especially don't tell me if I screwed up. x.x As far as I'm concerned, this is the first "official" work done in this script, anything previous that disagrees is deprecated. ;))

Oooone more thing. Not counted as part of the steps because there's a whole other set of grand stuff I've done/need to do.

This was 100% the scariest thing I had to do on it because paint pens + varnished wood = no takebacks whatsoever. x.x

Annnnnd done! Visually at least. Still needs a coat of finisher. And the inscriptions on the side. And a dedication ritual. And and and. But, this was the scary part. And I'm pretty dang happy with it.

(I thought the step-counting was getting too awkward until I realized that of course there will be 9 steps total. Which is appropriate and synchronistic in a way that shouldn't even surprise me anymore. ;)

Slight panic last night as I realized two of the bright colors I've been using to paint the drum for under black light but the third (the light blue) doesn't.

Fortunately, since I'm… me… I already had some clear UV-reactive paint of the right glow-color.

I realized after finishing that some Pueblo pottery motifs sorta snuck their way in there which I feel... a little weird about, given I am at least ATTEMPTING to be as non-approriative-as-possible here

Guess that sorta thing happens when one grows up surrounded by that style.
