@typhlosion @raccoon that is how federation is supposed to work, you can see things from one place on another. Most of GNU social that isn't on mastodon can see any other instance.

@tindall @LanceUlanoff@mastodon.cloud there is going to be a lot of resistance to 'new' ideas (because this isn't new, GNU social has been around for a long time) until they become so popular it is impossible to pretend they don't exist. It happens with every new innovation.
@MOKKA probably because the server is being weird now. I am pretty certain that it is supposed to remove them from notifications.
@typhlosion yeah, that is why I haven't started contributing to mastodon yet. I have been told that ruby is an easy language, but I was having trouble following it and I don't really have time to pick up a new language right now.
