re: The failings of capitalism, music deprivation
I bring it up because on Monday, i heard a Smashing Pumpkins song that I NEVER knew existed and I was so fucking mad. cause it was a fucking wonderful track that rocked, and was so very different from the videos they had and the singles on the radio. and it made me think about all the potentially awesome music i never heard growing up like everyone else did.

@Motodrachen I've been wanting to listen to 2112 since it got mentioned in Ready Player One (i'm the only one of my friends who actually liked the book without reservation) Guess I'll have to actually get it now.

@kelseyhusky if you’re looking for 90s specifically? Cub, Bikini Kill (esp the first two albums, Reject All American), Soundgarden’s Down on the Upside, obviously I’m gonna go on about REM, and King Missile. @kelseyhusky “Inhale, Exhale” by Rollins Band. I can’t easily find it separate on YouTube but it’s on Come in and Burn, which is an awesome album. Rollins Band - Come In And Burn [Full Album/HQ] https://youtu.be/I3dJw11kLZs via @YouTube

@kelseyhusky I remember you like the Beasties, this is my favorite track of theirs; Namaste (2009 Digital Remaster) https://youtu.be/djbD3rROa2Q via @YouTube
Also I come into all of this late in the game; I missed out on a lot. Are you also looking for more recent or niche stuff?
re: The failings of capitalism, music deprivation (CW: Youtube link)
@Leucrotta Mostly just looking for the stuff that was really good but never got heavy/any rotation. Cause Geek USA is very different from the Smashing Pumpkins that was portrayed in their image in their videos and singles that got airtime.
