So, Gateway Station does have a large fleet of auxillary craft: work shuttles with tool waldoes on arms, cargo and personnel shuttles for moving between ships that are too large to dock directly, or don't wish to dock for any number of reasons (security, environmental restrictions, personal preferences), and short-range, high speed craft for joyriding and sight-seeing around the Aeolus system.

But there's one multi-purpose cruiser that is kept in its own dedicated sector of Gateway, with an exclusive maintenance gantry and reserved launch and approach lane.

The GSS Watney is built around a massive launch bay that can carry all 5 Axiom-class huskybots, as well as repair the platforms when needed. It has sufficient life-support for up to 12 passengers and crew, as well as several squads of Beta, Gamma, and Delta platforms kept in standby for on-demand activation. When the Watney is launched, KA's processing core is physically moved from its home location and installed in a dedicated chamber on-board. Communications and connection with Gateway is maintained through the dedicated channels of Huskynet.

@shaderphantom Yes, there is an Avengers movie coming. I believe it's dropping sometime in May. Avengers: Endgame is the resolution and follow up to Avengers Infinity War, which did release last year (2018)

Granted, unexpected removal isn't something that occurs often. But accidents, emergencies, and dangerous space combat can happen. I've got several NARG macros that can be run so that I'm not constantly having alarms and warnings taking up consciousness cycles. They mostly just shunt the log lines into a dedicated directory so that they can all be acknowledged, cross-referenced with memory files and external sensor logs, and dismissed in bulk once my platform is in stable conditions again.

That weird sensation when your modular limbs get removed before you're ready. The error messages in logs that are tracking all the positional feedback just kinda hang there, a big blank null in the monitoring graph that can be really disorienting until you either disable monitoring or bring the new limbs off line.

Just got home from dinner with a friend I hadn't seen in almost 6 years. And it was such a trip and wonderful and felt like gossiping and venting and commiserating and empathizing all at the same fucking time and I don't get that very often. And I'm starting to realize just why Mom values her female friends so much and would make such a big deal about spending time with them.

Maybe every cis man should spend 6 months on HRT, just for the emotional growth. It might fix some broken shit.

@Aradia Probably sometime in May after repairs to Gateway have been completed. Finally got funding sorted and a repair crew scheduled.

@hafnia almost 14 years ago, I got kicked out of college, and was one fight with my parents away from being homeless and jobless. Well, I had that fight. With the help of my friends, i was able to get some where safe and had a place to live where i could finish growing up, and now I've been working professionally for 10 years in my chosen field, and I have a house. It didn't happen how it was "supposed" to, but it can still happen anyway.
