I've had my current desk setup more or less the same for 2 years, and the same desk for 9. I want to update my battlestation. And since I loved being under the bed when it was lofted, I will make the next uplink cradle inside a box. This allows me a more tightly controlled environment. My first thought was to have it be a literal wooden box, but I believe I can do better with a metal tube frame and lots of thick black curtains.

A Beta leads you through security doors into H-Deck and to the repair bay. A reclining uplink chair, with a line of other social-mod Beta platforms waiting their turn. In front of the station is a kneeling chair and a basket full of polishing cloths. A waiting platform sits front of you, extending a leg with a soft whirr of motors while their composite plated paw wiggles its toe stabilizers in front of your snout.

Since my team and I routinely work in environments with dangerous levels of noise, the River Tribe is requiring that I have a mandatory hearing screening. They are paying the cost of the screening and the location is right by my work place. It has to be done by the end of the month. Since it's mandatory, should I stay clocked in while I'm getting it done?

Oh my gosh. I have done so much writing today and yesterday! It has been fucking great! I 'm barely getting any work done, but This has been so much more fun.

Can someone please just ask me specific questions about how the huskybot platforms look? Anything you're curious about, or think should be detailed. Apparently my brain only works when it has details to focus on.

Walking back from lunch today, and I got hit with a feeling I can best describe as "Is this it? Is this all my life is ever going to be about? Is this all I get to do and feel and bed? That fucking sucks!" I get thoughts like that more often when its wet, cold, and grey outside.

Funny part of last night: Getting asked unprompted: "Du you like dark meat?"

Lovely part of last night: So many snuggles with so many awesome and wonderful people.

Needed part of last night: Unburdening and voicing things that have been stored locally for FAR too long.

Unwanted part of last night: still feeling like an imposter when getting compliments on my appearance. I really hope that goes away soon.

Tonight was good, and hard. For different reasons. All of them live inside my head. This is not on anyone I know, and certainly not anyone who can read this. It's all just bad, un-labled wiring, stale data that won't get flushed from cache, and old, poorly trained machine learning algorithms that have been production so long that all the documentation is out of date, unreliable, and rotted.

I have 34 years of technical debt, and the new TPM with her buzzwords only got on-boarded a month ago.

Can this day be over so I can hang out with my friends and cry cause I don't feel cool and wanted?
