I figured Apple would introduce eSIM when I heard the rumours of dual SIM cards. It's just sensible rather than sacrifice internal hardware space for something most people won't use.

The current iPhone 6 design survived five years, the iPhone 4 one has yet to die. It might be around for a while yet.

@stuart_otterson I don't think they intend to make it invisible any time soon. It's a rather distinctive feature.

Advertising a Watch with a clip of a person falling off a bicycle would make way less sense if they hadn't just added fall detection.

@stuart_otterson Eh, would be surprised if the battery life got better since they have more passive sensors and a (significantly?) thinner device now.
