Sweet jesus #BahrainGP

It's one of only two zoos in the world that breeds the critically endangered Livingstone's fruit bat, which is a species I've previously contributed to conservation efforts for. Was lovely to be able to check in on them!

I just really like Bristol Zoo, innit. It's a nice area of relative calm in the middle of relative chaos. I love going for walks around at night and just hearing all the animals. And I really love being able to hang around with the bats! D:

Bristol Zoo Gardens, the oldest municipal zoo in the world, and one of the oldest zoos in the world in general, is being closed.

That news is... surprisingly hard for me.

I don't even know how, but for the last couple of days my brain has consistently mixed up the names of John Mulaney (comedian) and Tom DeLay (Republican House Majority Leader, 2003–2005) and C'MON BRAIN THEY'RE NOT EVEN SIMILAR.

I hope Peter wins. Mainly cuz he reminds me a lot of Andrew from series 7 and he only managed runner-up after doing so dang well. #GBBO

While stalking it on FlightRadar24 I also noticed this Airbus from Cote d'Ivoire recently landed in Bristol. TU-TST. Seems like it's stopping off on its way to long-term storage (probably in a desert somewhere).
