Re: The Trump campaign straight up using Nazi imagery in a Facebook advertising campaign.

Someone in the replies was like "Trump isn't Hitler, what, is he waiting for his second term to build the camps" and I'm just like... dude.

Funny thing with how fast the government u-turned on the school meals thing is that it really implies that it was always possible, they just didn’t want to.

I’m randomly trying using my iPad with an external keyboard and trackpad and… damn, this is actually a decently nice experience.

There’s a bit of a learning curve, and not *everything* translates from touch to trackpad gestures, but it’s definitely an above average experience.

Notice how the Conservative backbenchers aren’t at all concerned with human recovery.

Statues of oppressors are being taken down around the world, people on national TV are actually discussing how Churchill was a racist eugenicist, BAME people are speaking out about racism in the CoE and Conservative party.

Busted out my Apple Pencil and some long neglected doodling skills to maybe update my fursona a little?

As a web UI developer trying to not use jQuery on every single project—can y’all mention if your library requires jQuery up-front so I don’t need to read through your docs/code to find out whether it does or not? 😬️

Random reminder that a lot of the equipment used by the US police force is straight up illegal to use in warfare.

Too cruel for your nation’s worst enemies; perfectly fine to use on your own citizens.

"Media blackout stories are inaccurate."
"Nothing to see here."

I hope the cops violently injuring and detaining people exercising constitutionally-guaranteed rights are having a good think about their life choices right now.

My cursory searching didn't dig up anything, but is there any decent pattern for using different opacities of colour defined as a custom property?

Like, this would be nice, but it doesn't work:
:root { --color: rgb(255, 0, 0); }
div { color: rgba(var(--color), 0.5); }

My favourite local Vietnamese restaurant/bubble tea place is open again.

The little things that can bring such joy in this time. Aaahh.
