@envgen people often try and separate their feelings for family and friends from the way they actually are and behave. a lot of my family will frequently say homophobic and transphobic things but they still treat me with the shallow, distant courtesy they always have even post-closet

@mogwai_poet if you're using proper knife technique (I have a chef parent) a blunt knife is more likely to act unpredictably/bounce/stick and get you by surprised, whereas a sharp knife will never even touch you. if you're constantly stabbing yourself anyway then blunt knives are probably better

@Nine a lot of the userbase of mechanical keyboards are people who are only interested in converting calories to javascript and think that the website running at 30FPS on their £23,000 AIO macintosh is just fine.
Then you have gamers, who generally don't need a numpad, and then you have people who make keyboards, who can add or exclude a numpad at their leisure
