@jk i think by the time planes were invented it had only just stopped being the case that the only way to become an engineer was through the military, so most of the first planes were made to kill people by people who also had invented guns and such. This also means that military history freaks are fairly likely to like both

@body@mastodon.social i got one in the sole of one foot once and now whenever I hear a mosquito whine i spring awake and don't go back to sleep until I've flattened it against the wall. The summer when that happened they had just started biting me incessantly and it just got worse and worse and worse, to the point of bites on my joints restricting the range of motion i had. So I feel you

@Fenreliania fortunately a lot of stuff here doesn't have unecessary gluten, just like. a weird amount of stuff. There's also occasionally weird gluten free stuff, like pesto? Even the cheapest pesto you can get here doesn't have gluten in it?
