What if I just don't pay for laser? Just... keep going as a lady that has a 5 o'clock shadow a lot.
I'm tired of having to catch up with beauty standards over things I don't care about much anyways. Those I must love love me as I am now, why do I need to keep pushing myself to some arbitrary standard?

@Ulfra_Wolfe Personally, I would look at it more in terms of comfort and goals. Are you happy with how you look? Are you able to accomplish the things you want to accomplish while navigating others' expectations? If so, then you're good. If not, ask yourself what it will take to get there and do those things, but don't pursue beauty standards for their own sake.

@Ulfra_Wolfe There's forever a balance to be found between doing the dumb stuff in life because people expect it even if it's meaningless, and calling out societal expectations as cultural artifacts. I can't say where anyone else's line is. Me, I shave every other day or so and I do my best to shrug off those who judge me on my shadow on the days I choose to let slide.
