60mg of relax and hide in the nest for a while.

Part of me wishes I'd recorded the confrontation so I had evidence of the assault.

on second thought I am going home

@literorrery I'm safe. I'm physically unharmed, just deeply shaken and in need of some calming focus. I don't have my full toolkit here, and I wouldn't use some of it at work anyway, but I could use some downtime to chew through this.

@literorrery I brushed the boot aside -- yes, touching without consent, it was self-defense -- and said, trying not to crack, that Ranty had anger issues to resolve.

Ranty shrieked again and proceeded to directly and intentionally misgender me, insult my weight, attack my plumage, and threaten me with bodily harm before standing up and storming off the bus proclaiming they'd had enough of this shit and were going to go smoke their blunt.

@literorrery With Ranty shouting in my ear, I turned and said, "hey, I get you're upset, but insulting people won't help." You know, show a little empathy, try to defend the kid that made an innocent mistake.

I got three words in before Ranty stuck their boot in my face and screamed "get away faggot" at me. Their voice literally went into a shriek. They called another person on the bus the n-word, then proceeded to call every other transit rider's mother a bitch.

@literorrery I sit at the back of the bus because the sideways seats give me more legroom. Someone at the back of the bus got set off when somebody else accidentally brushed them with a bag. The person who got set off -- we shall dub them Ranty -- started posturing and attacking this kid for invading their space, and when the kid didn't immediately cower and leave Ranty started to insult the kid as well.

My stomach hurts. I just want to stay home and sit in one spot and try not to throw up.

But if all I'm going to do is sit in one spot and try not to throw up, I might as well do that at work. And if I throw up at work, it's a good justification to go home early.

So here I am on the bus, trying not to not to throw up. So of course shit on the bus goes to hell.

As a follow-up to the excitement of last night, my tummy is still screwed up this morning and I have the most wicked gas. I could turn a match into a flammenwerfer.

Tonight was Date Night with one of my pets. It didn't go as planned. The Indian I'd ordered, chosen specifically to be easy on my stomach, still had enough tomato paste or potato starch to violently set off my nightshade sensitivity. Instead of all the things I'd hoped we'd get to do together, we ended up cuddling on the couch while I sipped weak coffee and tried to relax.

Still good company. Not the night I wanted to have. Apologies again, pet, and thank you.

So, I've had it pointed out to me that kief, having never been passed through a solvent process, is a poor analogue of instant coffee.

Distillate is a much better fit.
