Hey is there anyone in the Seattle area who wants to go down to see the Eclipse?
I'm thinking of trying to drive it, and figured the more we group together, the less cars will be on the road, right?
I've got 3 empty seats in my car.

@mawr Leave early! The roads will be AWFUL. Doephin and I are heading down to Portland for Saturday, possibly driving farther south Sunday night and sleeping in the car. Every hotel you can book under the totality line is booked, and all the campsites got closed because of fires, after already being booked. n..n;
@Soreth Yikes! Yeah, I plan to just sleep through Sunday, pick people up and shoot for it. Budgeting 8 hours for a 5 hour drive -- I figure that'll probably work. ^^
@mawr From what I've heard, it may be six to get just from Portland to Salem.
@mawr Amy and I were planning on going out to Idaho on thursday to see it.
@mawr Jealous... was tempted to drive up.. but 451 miles... and anywhere to sleep is long gone. Oh well.. something like 90% full here.
@mawr put me down as tentative yes--basically if you get three other "OOH YES PLEASE THIS IS AWESOME" I'll pass, but otherwise I'm pretty into this idea. :D *bounce*
