Complaining about badly designed government systems
GoodToGo is a toll system used by Washington -- kinda like EasyPass.
It has a web system that lets you manage your account, including adding funds automatically at specified times of the month.
If your balance reaches 0, their system automatically:
• Flags your account
• Emails AND Calls you to notify you of this
• Bills you at an inflated rate ($2/toll extra!!)
It cannot automatically:
• Add funds to fix the problem
*incoherent screaming*

@mawr That honestly sounds like maliciously bad design
Complaining about badly designed government systems
@mawr what if i told you...... it was probably designed that way on purpose.............
@mawr ...I'm fairly sure my account is set up to auto-add funds?
@Soreth Yup! But only twice a month on days you specify. If you run out of funds before those days come up, your account zeros out and they bill you by mail as though you didn't have an account.
@mawr How... useful. <..<;
@Soreth Yyyyeeeeahhhhh.

@mawr I haven't even used the system since I had a car like... 5 years ago? And it still emails me to let me know my balance. :-/
