@green Good luck fren! ♥️
@Ratttz Yeah, it's kind of horrible. Kelly and I gave away most of our stuff when we moved because it would've cost more to bring it with us than it would ever have been worth even new.
Medical, Bodies (CW: Pain)

@adeptomega *gentle hugs*
@Sparrow It's my pleasure!
Amusingly, my little sister is also a teacher -- she's moving out here to Seattle to teach (I think) 7th graders... and her nickname is Bird. :D
Job Search Update
@Sparrow Nice work!!!
That's a tough choice, though. If I were you, I'd put down everything you know about both jobs and then list pros and cons about each-- and go with whichever has a longer pro list and/or a shorter con list.
It's now time to see if the "Diversity & Inclusion Council" at my company is just a façade or not.

@starkatt Thank you. <3
Work Venting
@literorrery @starkatt I've already called HR, and from their measured response over the phone I got the impression that they recognized this as a problem that needs fixing.
We'll see if that actually happens or not, though.

@starkatt Ahhh, found the description of things they consider valid joint ownership:
• Mortgage Statements
• Bank Statements (we could actually do this, but also fuck being forced to give them my financial info)
• Credit Card Statements (maybe but still fuck being forced to give them my financial info)
• rental/lease agreements (we do not have a written lease for our current living arrangement)
But yeah, fuck every single thing about this.
Work Venting
@starkatt Yuup. Either that or we have to have filed taxes jointly (we haven't because it hasn't been financially beneficial for us to do so).
Like I think cars count as property, but that's not something we've done either, because it makes for a hassle at the DMV
@Oneironott You truly are a soff fren ♥️
Work Venting
Today is also a shit show for various reasons related to the old parent company's IT department not communicating with the new one, but that's not what I want to bitch about right now.
My partner may be dropped from my health insurance policy because my workplace hired a 3rd party auditor to verify dependents, and they require BOTH a marriage license and proof of co-ownership of property to verify a dependent spouse.
Company policy counts domestic partnerships. I'm extremely angry.
Dragony plush thing! Friendly, non-binary, anarcho-syndicalist, ace.
