@Elizafox @vahnj A proper apology is recognition of harm done, reparations to those harmed where possible, change to prevent that harm from ever occurring again, and maybe expressing regret directly to the people affected-- but it's the least important part of an apology.
Everyone fucks up; when you make the cost for fucking up linger forever, there's no reason to ever stop fucking up.

Multiple times this morning I've heard someone tap 2-3 times on the windows of the house. Like you'd tap on a window to check if anyone's there? So I'd freak out, rush over to the window to see no one there, look all around the house to find no one in view anywhere nearby...
The last time it happened right next to me, and I jumped up and saw a very dumb/confused woodpecker fly off. XD
