Fascism in the Workplace
My company's InfoSec group just put this MOTD in place for all users SSHing into our private internal dev server.
What possible benefit could result from this blatant fascist scare tactic? I just can't understand why companies so frequently treat their employees like criminals.
These sorts of messages are effectively microaggressions against those most negatively affected by late stage capitalism. They hurt the soul in a similar way.
@Ratttz Such treasures!! :D
on a quest
@Ratttz May your quest yield great treasure, fren!
@hvee We just got a server upgrade like two weeks ago! Everything's been so much faster :D
@neonNeptunian Iridescent is my favorite kind of descent :D
@green You could write about leaving the house!
@Fuego Then with the credit crunch we laid off a large chunk of our workforce and forced the remaining workers to work harder to get the same amount accomplished, then just never hired back the others when the economy rebounded.
Even with that, most folks are productive for only 4-ish hours a day.
If we could muster enough power to triple all wages (to a cap of course), half all workdays and double our workforces... Capitalism might stop killing so many people.
Inside the country, that is.
@Fuego PREACH!!
@Draekos thus my confusion! o.=.o
@Draekos Yeah, I was gonna say! It's a song about high-school classism getting in the way of romance as I've always understood it.
@Draekos huh? o.=.o
@Silviu That it certainly can!!
@Silviu Bless you. :D
@Momentrabbit I like all of those names a lot. :D
