@Aradia@mastodon.social Augh! US English can be so frustrating! D:

@tinybarks@meows.life Grid power!! That's the one! :D

Mains is understood in the US, but not used-- thus not useful for searching for things that connect inline in the US.

I was looking for alternatives to the Tesla Powerwall and running out of vocabulary to search with. ^^;; This helps! Thank you!

@mmsword Hmmmmmmmm. That's close but not quite there.

Frens I have a question!

In the UK and Australia, the power coming into your home is referred to as the "mains."

Is there such a term in use here in the US? The best I can find is the "main power drop" but that turns up so many unrelated results.

@zebratron2084 Those are not electric motorcycles/scooters.

The terminals appear to be bicycle rental spots (think LimeBike): tripsavvy.com/velib-bike-renta

@green Ooh, you have an ETA? Our outage still just says they're working on it. :x

Power outage! It's windy af out there. I lit a pile of candles; our house is gonna smell like vanilla :9

@chimerror You're a hell of a lot more Seattle than I am; I would be wearing all the things going out in that weather >..>

@wobblewuffess Yeah. I literally sobbed in the theater during the credits for that film. >..>;

@Aros Well hopefully Mastodon is noticing these comments

(just kidding ♥️)

@inurashii I'd agree the community around our instance and many of the ones we federate with are great examples of communities built around Mastodon as a communication tool.

Also, 1,600 users is no slouch!!
