@BenCalcaire@witches.town @envgen It's ultimately about user choice. Of course folks are going to cluster, otherwise we wouldn't even have a local timeline. Clustering is by design in Mastodon.

It really solves the long-standing harassment problem of Twitter if in order to read my posts, folks need to join one of the instances where harassment is swiftly dealt with.

@Firstaide I don't recommend doing this at all. That would just circumvent the block, and make this about you instead of them.

Sometime we hurt people without meaning to, that happens to anyone, autistic or otherwise. It happens.

And sometimes hurt people react to this in ways that are not really forgiving. But that is their right.

So understand the block as "I don't want to talk to you", not as "you are a total asshole". And live with it.

@Ahriman I didn't even finish the game a year ago, somehow got too frustrating at some point and I kinda just stopped I guess... but now after BotW I want to play the rest of the main game and the 2 DLCs :)

@ultimape Try inputting their toot URL into the Search field of your instance. You should be able to interact from there.

@vahnj @noiob Sure. I believe it would be a really important feature for other things, though. For instance, I might trust this server for my direct messages and private posts, but want to make sure they never leave this instance (or a specific network of trusted instances).
I suppose this should be something I bring up on the Mastodon Github though, eh?
