PSA: If you are in the web view of a remote instance of some user or toot, you cannot directly reply/boost/fav.

But you can copypaste the URL into your local Mastodon server's "Search" field, then it allows you to interact!

Do server admins have to actively choose which other servers they federate with, or can toots be distributed over the network really? Like let's say A federates with B and C, but B and C don't directly federate, do toots from B reach C over A?

Is anyone able to log-in with Mastodroid? I get a login error from awoo.space saying "Client authentication failed due to unknown client, no client authentication included, or unsupported authentication method". Tusky, TootyFruity and 11t all work.

Also, why does the federated timeline only show the same stuff as the local timeline? Shouldn't there be more? Is something broken?

Okay, somehow I don't get this yet. The posts from people I follow are in the "Home" tab/timeline, yeah? Then what exactly are "boosts"?

@vahnj I'm trying to login to https://mastodon-bridge.herokuapp.com/ via this instance. But I always get an error "The requested scope is invalid, unknown, or malformed." when I try to login here (using natanji@awoo.space as a username here https://mastodon-bridge.herokuapp.com/users/auth/mastodon). Any idea what I'm doing wrong, or is something weird with the server, or the app?
