I know this might sound silly but I am not very Computers so
If most stuff just kinda... works on Linux, why does almost every device need a separate installation of drivers on Windows. Why can't they do whatever Linux is doing to make it just work
@socks most types of thing have a generic driver in addition to specific drivers, so i'm guessing something along those lines. like you can use any old usb keyboard with generic usb HID drivers, but if you have a fancy keyboard that supports n-key rollover and macros and stuff you need manufacturer-specific drivers to use those features -F
@Felthry@socks nkro doesn't need a specialized driver, neither should macros, you might need software to define them but they should just send standard keycodes
