They'll give up searching eventually, but they'll keep their guns out, be more alert, go around telling their buddies "Hey, stay sharp! We've got someone creeping around." etc.

I like Hitman's solution of

"You can destroy the evidence on security cameras, if you make your way into the room where they're controlled from.. Which is, funnily enough, usually highly secure. GLHF."

Hitman has a lot of concessions wrt realism, most that I agree with, some that I don't, some they should've taken further.

@chosafine@instance.business I find conveyence of tone to be a difficult thing.. And social media comes with its own unique nuances, relationships, blurred-boundaries and assumptions that make it a more short-fuse medium overall, yes. :(

I tend to clarify like that simply because I would rather my tone be. Explicit, as it is v. easy to seem snide or passive aggressive, especially in social media, especially with ppl one does not know.

The former.. Goodness knows, doubly so if yr visibly in a minority. The latter alone requires a significant amount of resources & advantages already stocked; social, fiscal or etc.

..Without all that it sums up to "I'd rather be a martyr" for a lotta ppl.
