I think it's really cool that I know a bunch of people who were AMAB, transitioned to something in the vicinity of "woman", then later moved to "oh my gender is way more interesting that that, imma re-adopt back a lot of guy-spectrum stuff."
Don't let people talk shit about "de-transition" or whatever as if there's one simple narrative.
@starkatt ... that was supposed to be a take on an old joke but now I can't tell if the humor translates to modern text. Apologies if it doesn't. =u u=
@literorrery S'ok, and I even enjoy that joke format, but this felt like an incongruous time to pull it out.
@starkatt All I can say is it made sense to my addled brain but that's only half the equation at best. Apologies again.
@starkatt i’m like… there to some fluid degree and yeah
I hate the ‘de-transition’ narrative ^^’
@starkatt @Oneironott we don't de-transition, we transition again, differently!
@starkatt my gender identity: underdamped
someone AMAB I knew some years back was using "mtwtf"
@starkatt goals tbh.
@memnus super legit :D
@memnus tbh when I started I kinda expected same, but the further along I get the less interested I am :)
@starkatt It's kinda scary to read that as someone who is just starting HRT, but in a way I guess it should be a relief that nothing is ever sat in stone?
I guess what I'd be most afraid of is people treating it as "just a phase" and using it to delegitimize trans narratives, especially close family and such...
@starkatt Gender? Damn near killed 'er!
