I need to find some games that I can play for 15-30 minute chunks and that I'm okay to be interrupted during.
I hate doing things that require focus when I know I might be interrupted anytime in a vague window (e.g. by a partner coming home from work).
So I tend to just sit in a holding pattern for an hour at a time.
I'd like to not do that probably.
@emanate I was just looking at the Astroneer patch notes to see if it had changed enough to be worth picking back up, because yeah it fits well.
@emanate Oh my gosh Subnautica looks amazing I am adding it to my wishlist Right Now.
@emanate ahhhh games that are built featuring VR make me feel like I'm missing out though.
This is a big reason why I haven't picked up Elite:Dangerous.
@emanate I still very much want to finish The Long Dark and subnautica looks like it might hit some of the same buttons for me, but TLD really only works for me when I can set aside hour+ blocks.
@starkatt Arcade-style games might work, though they could also be jarring to pause and switch modes. Puzzle type match-3 games too, something turn-based like Puzzle Quest 2 might work.
Otherwise I tend to like things like Starbound, Astroneer, Subnautica, No Man's Sky, heavy on exploration and resource-gathering, where you can stop any time.
