Muddy political terminology in the US also means when people say "I'm a socialist" without further qualifiers it's impossible to tell if they mean "we need to overthrow capitalism" or "I think the State should own the railroads".

Y'know what, in terms of political terminology it's super irritating that social democracy ≠ democratic socialism.

Key: social democracy is capitalist (think Scandinavia), democratic socialism is not (think DSA).

It's almost as bad as how ambiguous "liberal" is in the US.

One thing I think its really neat about the sun is that the photosphere, the bright visible part that we see, is actually the least hot part of the star. The plasma is hotter both above and below.

The corona is upwards of ten million degrees and we're not sure yet why it's so hecking hot.
