Oh okay so, apparently the way contact lens prescriptions in the US work is that you get a scrip not just for a lens power, but for a specific brand and model of lenses.

How does the optometrist figure out what to prescribe? You try on a couple options and tell them which one you like. It's literally preference.

You can't just tell a company "oh I need this brand and this power" and have them ship it to you. You need a specific prescription that's less than a year old.

There was this software called Swinger that would automagically edit a song to go to a swing beat, and I'm really sad I can't find it because I've thinking for a while that The Mother We Share by CVRCHES would be hecka cool swung.
